Blades Receive No Suspensions? · Thursday October 25, 2007

Come on WHL officials… no suspensions for Blade’s Flatters and Funk after their shameful 2-on-1 fist pounding of Aaron McGill. Did you think that was justified? What is your official response to a young hockey player that gets beat up on the ice by TWO players and it takes your own official to jump in on one of the players before McGill really gets hurt.

Of course here is what Flatters had to say about it.

“One of the worst things you can do is say, ‘Oh, we can’t score,’ “ said Flatters. “That’s what we absolutely can’t do. Discipline got us — and me, in particular — in a bad spot tonight. That’s not something a leader should do. I owe it to my teammates to bring it to another level next time I play.”

Just a little “Undisciplined” play says flatters. Of course the league may of thought that it was punishment enough to get beat by the Portland Winter Hawks.
