Hawks vs. Hitmen - Game 50 · Saturday January 26, 2008

The Calgary Hitmen (34-13-1-3) didn’t feel charitable to the Portland Winter Hawks (9-39-1-1) laying 65 shots on goal for a 6-0 win in the Saddle Dome.

Hawks backup goalie Jordan White probably stopped a 9-0 route with some solid saves and a final total of stopping 59 of 65 shots.

T.J. Galiardi scored twice and Ryan White had a goal and two assists to lead the Hitmen.

Michael Stone also had a multiple-point night, scoring once and assisting on White’s goal. Chase Schaber and Ian Schultz rounded out the scoring for Calgary.

The game marked the season debuts of 15-year-old defenseman Daniel Johnston and 17-year-old forward Colin Reddin. Johnston spent most of the night picking up 3 penalties (delay of game, hooking and tripping). Reddin was just secured in Portland’s deal with USA Hockey.

Calgary finished the night 2 for 7 on the power play while Portland went 0 for 4.

Next up Edmonton on the road.
