Hawks Need Scoring Acquire Cody Rainaldi and Joel Ridgeway · 7 October, 04:56

3 goals in 5 games—has desperation already set in for the Hawks?

The Hawks respond and acquire Prince George Cougars 19-year old forward Cody Rainaldi in exchange for future considerations and Tri-City American’s forward Joel Ridgeway for a conditional 6th round draft pick in the 2009 Bantam Draft.

Rainaldi is a 5’10”; 176 pound native of Campbell River, B.C. Rainaldi spent the 2007-2008 season with the Manitoulin Islanders of the NOJHL where he compiled 21 goals and 23 assists for 44 points in 47 games.

Ridgeway, the 6’2, 183-pound left wing from Grosse Isle, Manitoba, appeared in 46 games last season for Tri-City, collecting two goals and five points, along with four penalty minutes and was a minus-3. Ridgeway was originally listed by Tri-City in October of 2006 and made his WHL-debut on February 27, 2007.
